やっぱIntuneだぁ

MS TechnetのServer & Cloud Blogのポスト: System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1 Beta and Windows Intune Update が示唆にあふれています。特に注目は中断以降のIntuneのところ。

• Per DeviceライセンスからPer Userライセンスに移行する。ただし1人あたり5台まで。
• 継続的にWindows Enterpriseの利用権が付与される。Windows Enterprise抜き版もでる。

現状のWindowsIntuneで提供されるWindows EnterpriseはSA相当であり、デスクトップ仮想化環境での利用が許可されています。上記が実現することにより

• 現状、Intuneを購入することができないiPadやAndroidに関しても、1台のWindowsPCがある前提でIntuneを適用できる？
• マルチデバイス利用時に複数WindowsSA/WindowsVDAを契約する必要があったのが、1契約でいい。現状と同じ1,280円だとうれしいな。
• 3年縛りのWindowsSA/WindowsVDAに対して、Intuneは1年縛り。支払いも年払いから月払いに。

が実現でき、タブレット活用を図りたい企業には朗報と言えるでしょう。でも、iOS/Androidはだめかな？Windows Tabletのみの縛りが入るかも。がんばれ公取委。

msc2010/Windows8への移行

久しぶりの投稿です。つぶやいてばかりいました。 msc2012 1日目に参加してきてました。今回は気になるところをメモ側に代わりに。

• Editionについて
• 提供されるEditionは、RT、W8、Pro、Entの4種
• AD参加はPro以上。つまりRTはできない。
• Metroアプリの配布
• もうMetroって言わない
• アプリの配布方法は、StoreとSidelodingの2種
• Sidelodingをするには、ドメイン参加したEntが必要
• RT、Pro、ドメイン未参加のEntには、プロダクトキーが別途必要
• クライアント仮想化
• Med-V、XP ModeはWindows8では提供されない
• 代わりにClient Hyper-V、もしくはVDIが提供される
• ライセンス認証
• MAK、KMSに加えてAD認証が追加される
• AD認証は、KMSサーバの代わりにADへボリュームライセンス認証サービスを役割として追加し、認証させる。KMSサーバとの違いは、25台必要ないこと。
• kb2691586を充てるとWindowsServer2008R2上のKMSサーバでもWindows8、WindowsServer2012の認証ができるようになる。

感想としては、法人向けにはEnt以上をOEMではなくVLで買いなさいって感じです。MAK認証のWindowsServerにWindows8のキーが入れられればいいなぁ。確認できれば、また共有します。

XenClientの上でWindows8

みそは、32bit版のメデイアを使うことと、Ubuntuを選択することだったんですね。最初にXenServerでのWindows8の入れ方をみてしまったので、少し迷宮に入りそうでした。

Citrix, what’s on the roadmap

In previous statements of Citrix, Machine Creation Services was positioned as a solution for POC and small environments up to 500 desktops. But Citrix has done extensive testing with MCS, and now they position it for environments up to 5000 VDI desktops. So there is less need for using Citrix Provisioning Services for virtual environments. For physical environments PVS is still the only possible solution.

えぇ、やっぱりMCSに寄せるのね。そうだよね。XenAppもMCSに対応するしね、せっかくHyperVisor持ってんだしね。
でも、PVSどうしてくれんのよ！今、作ってるものには将来がない？無駄になる作業をさせるなよ！がぉーーっ。
